Been a while since I last posted anything... I've been a bit scattered lately, travelling around and having a few guests in town which is nice. I've also been "working" on my thesis and figuring out what to do with myself this summer. Looks like I will be in Berlin for July and August learning some German and exploring the city - I just got back from there a little while ago and really loved it - so look me up if you are in the vicinity of the Western Hemisphere or something.
Here's a bunch of pics from when I was in Paris about a month and a half ago.
Every city needs a guardian.
Stripes are in this season.
Zile on her birthday
Chez Zile...
This was right around the end of the student protests - the entire Sorbonne was barricaded with police check points at all the entrances.
More barricades.
French cops hangin' out in full body armor in front of a smashed store front near the Sorbonne.
White delivery trucks seem to be the number one surface for graffiti in Paris. This guy is advertising his album release.
Went to some post-foodism restaurant in Paris called La Famile - pretty interesting. This dish was called "une equation mathematique".
I had this. It was "kebab et pommes fritte" or something. It was actually pretty tasty - except maybe for the single pomme fritte. I should have got the single plum floating in a hat filled with perfume.
Magali toasting orange juice with a carrot in it - literally.
No vegetation shall escape the will of the Emperor. Taking in formal gardens French style at Parc de Luxembourg.
L'institute du Monde Arab.
This was a fun bar... wish I could remember what it was called.
I found this big tower down town.
